Tennis

Tennis is a very popular sport across the world. It can be played by two players known as a singles game, or four players known as a doubles game.  Each player has a racquet (see below) that is strung tightly so it can strike a tennis ball over a net into the opponent’s court.



Although tennis derived from England it is dominated by most of the European countries such as Spain and Switzerland and also by America and Australia. 

There are many competitions around the world throughout the tennis season but the most sort after titles are one of the four Major Championships consisting of Wimbledon which is played on grass and The French Open, US Open and Australian Open that all played on hard surfaces.



The there has been many famous personalities that have graced the tennis courts of the world over the last few year like John McEnroe from the USA known for his temper but currently Rodger Federer and Rafael Nadal are the top two players in the world
